Instructors

We have a variety of wonderful teachers as well as visiting teachers and seminar leaders who share their knowledge and practice with our students.

Roberta

I started practicing Bikram Yoga in 2003, looking for a solution to the chronic problem on my cervical spine. I was living in San Diego, California, and I remember well my first class, it was very hard and hot!

The frequent practice of Bikram Yoga was beyond my expectations. I was immediately inspired by the physical, emotional, mental processing and most importantly, I noticed the development of inner strength. The Bikram Yoga has taught me to look at the challenges in front of me, smile and face them. I learned to live in peace with myself and the world around me. Acquire a better understanding of the meaning of the practice and the important role it plays in our lives who want to share in Bikram Yoga RIO.

Feeling a deep desire to share this powerful practice with others, I decided to go to Bikram Yoga College of India Teacher Training in Hawaii in 2007. Teach Bikram Yoga sustains my energy, both physically and mentally, and is the most inspiring and rewarding job I can imagine. My passion for yoga continues to grow daily. In 2013 I opened my own yoga studio in Rio de Janeiro and the journey just began.

I was a teacher in the Studios: Bikram Yoga Lahaina - Hawaii; Bikram Yoga Kahului - Hawaii; Bikram Yoga College of India - San Diego, California; Bikram Yoga Green Valley - Las Vegas, Bikram Yoga Summerlin - Las Vegas; Bikram Yoga Red Rock - Las Vegas , Bikram Yoga Southwest - Las Vegas.

I am extremely grateful for all the knowledge and the people I met, I can honestly call family.

Bikram Yoga has changed my life and will change yours too.

Start practicing!

Kristýna

I was born and raised in Czech Republic. I took my first Bikram Yoga class in Prague in 2008. I see yoga as a way how to live a fulfilled and healthy life. No matter the changes everyone can become more grounded due to the constant practice.

I attended Bikram Yoga Teacher Training Fall 2012 in Los Angeles, California. Despite of the plan to return back to my previous job – an architect, I started to teach yoga. First in Brighton, United Kingdom and now here in Rio de Janeiro. It has brought me a lot of very special friends and self knowledge.

I am proud to have an opportunity to share the sequence with our students, to keep learning teaching and practicing.

Marcelo

Decidi então fazer a minha primeira aula.

Graduated in biology, I have been practicing Yoga since 2012. I did my first Teacher Training in Vinyasa Yoga (200hs) and then in Yin Yoga (100hs), both with Edson Ramos at Yin Yang Vinyasa Yoga School.

Currently, I am the Managing Director of this institution in Brazil, being responsible for the administration of the courses organized in the country. I also work as an Assistant Professor in Teacher Trainings offered by the school and give Yin Yang Vinyasa and Yin Yoga classes.

Always looking for new knowledge, I am about to begin the Hands-On Course, with Edson Ramos, and the Ayurveda Therapist Training Course, at Yoga Brahma Vidylaya School.

In my Yoga classes, I try to diversify the content, combining sequences of asanas with kriyas, pranayamas, and meditation. I aspire that the practitioner learn to cultivate mental calm, the expansion of his consciousness, and the deepening of his personal connection, focusing on the harmonization between his body and his mind.

Monise

I took my first yoga class on Bali, Indonesia, on a spiritual journey where I expanded my perception of the world. From that point on, I have become a regular practitioner, especially of Mahavir Thury’s vinyasa yoga. I started to feel the benefits of practice not only in my physical body but as well in my behavior, making room for new insights. Thus, with the need to get a meaning between my work and philosophy of life, I completed the teacher training by Premananda Yoga School with international certification by Yoga Alliance (Registered Yoga School, 200h) under the direction of Pedro Franco.

Today, I dedicate my time to study, participate in workshops and trainings, practice and teach vinyasa yoga (Mahavir Thury’s method). This classical yoga style brings spirituality to the classes through the practice of sequences constructed from asanas for all levels, applying the meditation in movement.

I am also a forest engineer and I was a practitioner of jazz dance and contemporary dance for 11 years, which helped to identify the body as an instrument of the expansion of consciousness from an early age.

Luciana
